SPCA of Brevard Adoption Center
The SPCA of North Brevard, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of “protecting and providing a voice to the homeless animals of Brevard County.” Founded in 1979 in Titusville, Florida, the SPCA is the largest private no-kill animal rescue group in Brevard, finding homes for more than 1,600 animals a year. It is the first adoption facility with free-roaming cat rooms in the County, allowing adopters to interact with the cats in a more home-like setting. The SPCA of North Brevard Clinic also provides reduced-price vaccines to the public and has performed more than 55,000 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries since 1999.
The SPCA opened its doors to animals looking for homes over 30 years ago. We are proud to be a "Loving, Caring, Protecting", No-Kill shelter, which means that animals stay with us until they find their forever home.
All of our animals are neutered and microchipped before they are adopted and come with 30 days of free health insurance.
We are constantly looking for volunteers and foster homes. If you are interested in either, please visit our website for more information or to fill out an application.
What We Do:
Adopt animals to screened applicants (adoption info)
Accept owner-relinquished animals as space allows
Conduct microchip identification scannings on each incoming animal
Provide such educational & community services as:
• Adoption counseling
• Ownership guidelines
• School programs
• Pet food bank for low-income owners or terminally ill who desire to keep their pets
• Pet therapy for the elderly, abused or handicapped people.
Our goals are:
To shelter and find homes for unwanted animals.
To educate the public about spaying and neutering pets.
Establish innovative programs to accomplish our no-kill mission.
