Lake Martin Humane Society, Inc.  is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and as such, all donations to it are deductible for tax purposes. Our income comes from donations from individuals and businesses, adoptions, fundraising events and the sale of pet-related merchandise.  We receive financial support from the City of Alex City in exchange for which we care for all animals turned in by the City Animal Control Officer.

However, we also depend heavily on individual donations and memberships in the humane society for our support. Donations to help care for Shelter animals can be sent to LMHS Animal Shelter, PO Box 634, Alex City 35011.
