Salisbury Community Dog Park
The Salisbury Community Dog Park was founded as a privately funded Park. The Park is on over an acre of land located at the entrance to Mary Peters Park,107 Long Pond Road, in Lakeville. The dog Park is a fenced-in area where dogs from Salisbury and the surrounding communities can play together off leash. Since its inception in 2014, the Park has been open from dawn to dusk 365 days a year. The Park is enjoyed by both full-time residents and weekenders from many of the surrounding communities in the Tri-State region.
In October, 2015 in order to facilitate support, development and improvement of the Park the Friends of the Salisbury Community Dog Park was formally organized. By-laws were adopted, a slate of officers and a Board were selected and 501(c)(3) nonprofit status was obtained. The Park is entirely supported by individual and sponsored donations. The all volunteer Friends of the Salisbury Community Dog Park ensures that the Park is kept clean, mowed, plowed, landscaped and necessary supplies purchased. The Salisbury Community Dog Park is a wonderful asset to our Town. It is over an acre of fenced-in land, on a beautiful town-owned piece of property at Mary Peters Park on Long Pond Road, where you can bring your dog for off-leash play and training. While your dog is playing with his new friends, you will be surrounded by people with whom you already have something very special in common. This is a terrific way to meet new people and make friends in our rural area.
