Summer Park
The 17 acre site is fenced in for the purpose of exercising your dog without the use of a leash. It is located at the corner of French Road and Highway "OO" (Northland Ave).
The hours for the Dog Park are from 7 am to dusk. Winter park hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dogs must have all their shots, must be registered, non-aggressive and under control by their owners. DO NOT bring in people food and always pick up after your dog.
There is parking for 50 cars and a porta-potty is provided during the summer months. Bags are available for those who may have forgotten their bags but we encourage you to bring your own. Water is not available on site, please bring your own.
The reason for the development of the dog park was to establish an area that would provide dog owners with a place that they could take their dogs for exercise off leash and to socialize their dogs in a safe and secure environment. The dog park operates through donations only. If you want to support the park please put your donation in the tube located at the entrance to south park or send a check to Outagamie County Parks, 1375 E. Broadway Drive, Appleton, WI 54913. Please note on the check that it is for the dog park. Contributors donating over $100 may have their name added to our major contributors board.
Winter Dog Park
The "Friends of the Dog Park" have raised enough money to fence in an additional 4.7 acres that is used exclusively for a winter dog park area. The installation of 1,000 feet of 6 foot high fencing was completed in October, 2010, and a pedestrian gate and sally-port were completed. The plowing of the parking area, the waste removal are being resolved and we need volunteers to keep the gates clear of snow. Because the dog park was created and is operated with donations only, we were required to build the addition with donations.
You are still required to pickup after your dog in the winter months.
