Maggie’s Bark Park
Maggie's Bark Park, a Williamson County Facility, is the 1st off-leash dog park in the great state of Tennessee and is located right behind our facility.
Local residents Andrew and Karen Menzyk donated funds to establish this wonderful park in memory of their Bearded Collie, Maggie, who was a member of their family for nearly 15 years.
Their primary goal was to increase public awareness of the adoptable animals and other services provided at Williamson County Animal Center.
Since our gates swung open in October of 2001, Maggie's has become a special place for area residents and their dogs. Canine birthday celebrations have even been held at Maggie's. Seasonal events, such as Christmas and Halloween parties, also take place at the park.
eatures & Amenities
Our fabulous park offers a quarter mile walking trail and two fenced areas. The larger of the two areas features agility equipment for adult dogs.
Maggie's Bark Park is lighted for those that can't get here before sundown. Thanks to a generous gift by Jack and Peggy Beasley, it also has a drinking fountain, covered benches, and kiddie pools for pooches that love the water - these are very popular during the hot, humid summer months!
A gazebo donated by Kay and Cindy Owen provides a comfortable place to relax.
Rascal's Run Around
Rascal's Run Around is for puppies and small dogs less than 30 pounds in weight. It was funded by Jack and Peggy Beasley in honor of their beloved dog, Rascal.
The Hip K9 Hangout
The park operates unmanned from dusk until dawn every day of the week. Weekends can be a really busy and fun place to make both 4-legged and 2-legged friends.
