Jefferson County Humane Society (JCHS) is a selective intake, non-profit animal shelter in Monticello, FL. JCHS receives no government funding and operates solely on donations and fundraising. As a result, funds and space are limited. We strive to take in as many animals as we can while also maintaining a high level of animal health and wellness.

We are a local non-profit, selective intake, animal shelter in Jefferson County, Florida. All funds raised go to support the animals, providing shelter, food, medical care and love. All our volunteers are committed to helping the animals in our community by providing service to the public through education, various fund raising events, animal awareness programs, rescue and adoption programs.
