Our Mission
- Encouragement of responsible animal ownership practices through education
- Pursuit of reported incidents of animal cruelty &/or neglect and the taking of protective action
- Providing care for adoptable animals that are injured, abused, unwanted & abandoned, whenever possible
- Spaying and neutering all animals to be adopted to reduce the unwanted animal population.
Your Humane Society/SPCA networks with other rescues, including the Sumter County Animal Services, while raising the funds to build Central Florida’s First “Green” Animal Shelter in Sumter County. Donate to help an Animal in Need!

-"The Big Fix" FREE Spay/Neuter program & "Kibbles" FREE Pet Food Pantry to qualifying low income Sumter County residents' pets
-Helping eliminate animal cruelty and forwarding information to the local authorities
-Rescuing and adopting animals to reduce the euthanasia rate in Sumter County, FL
-Networking with our Sumter County Animal Services facility & regional rescues to save the most animals' lives as possible
-"Pets for Vets" adoption discount for veterans & active military
-"Seniors for Seniors" adoption discount for senior citizens adopting senior pets
-Education to children and adults on may pet/animal related topics.
