The Franklin Dog Park has three separate fenced-in areas for dog owners to let their dogs off leash. Of the three areas, typically two will be open at a time and the third will be closed for maintenance and recovery. One area is designated for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. The park has a six foot chain link fence surrounding all sections, and there is a double gated entrance system. There are also water fountains for both dogs and people, and dog waste clean-up stations are available.

This is a self-policing facility. Owners/custodians of a dog are responsible for the acts and conduct of their animal at all times when in the park.
