Chippewa Falls Happy Tails Dog Park
Happy Tails Dog Park in Chippewa Falls is situated on a City owned parcel of land that is entirely fenced and gated. It is 50+ acres in size. Currently, there is an 8000 sq ft small dog area, and the large dog is nearly 50 acres! Any size dogs are welcome in the big dog area, but timid and shy little guys are recommended to try out the small dog area first. Large dogs (over 30 pounds) are welcome in the small dog enclosure (if there are no small dogs using it). There is a walking trail around the perimeter that measures a tad over 1-mile! There are benches situated all along this trail, for those who want to take a little breather. Also, the center of the park sometimes has small pond and lots of immature trees - for now. Because this site is a dual use park (it is also a storm water retention and overflow area), we ask that users stay away from the grates - both canine and humans. There are some fences and guards, but this is a gentle reminder that dogs must be kept under control by the handler/owner at all times. No water at the site, at this writing. We are hoping to have the funds to install a water station for dogs, dog rinsing and humans SOON!!!
