Opened in 2012, the City’s first dog park represents a partnership between the City and local non-profit Partners for Active Living.

The Spartanburg Rail Trail Dog Park is located on Union Street across from the entrance to Duncan Park. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to Ray’s BBQ Restaurant, or in the Rail Trail lot at the Forest Ave. entrance (though you must walk a little ways on the trail, north towards downtown to find the Dog Park.It is free to all users, but dogs must be accompanied by humans, have up-to-date vaccinations, and humans must clean up their own dogs’ poop (plastic bags are provided).
