Doylestown Dog Park
The Dog Park is a "membership" facility located on Almshouse Rd. between Rt. 611 (Easton Rd.) and Turk Rd. in Doylestown Township at Turk Park III. (Across the street from Bucks County Correctional Facility which is 1260 Almshouse.)
The dog park consists of 3 separate areas: 1/2 acre for small dogs, 1-1/2 acres for large dogs, 1 acre for rotation of the other two areas to preserve the turf and to be utilized for educational events, training, and agility. Other amenities include: Shaded pavilion area, waste bags and covered containers for waste disposal, water fountains, benches, trees and shrubs for screening and shade, and an informational kiosk.
The success of the Doylestown Dog Park is due in part to the unique mandatory education session that is required for all park users. Many dog parks require only vaccinations to participate, while the Doylestown Park requires dog license, vaccinations and attendance at an educational orientation session. We believe that our requirements result in a better educated participant who understands their responsibility as a dog park user, resulting in a positive experience for all.
